ATOMIC AIRCON AND REFRIGERATION SERVICES WAS BORN OUT OF THE NECESITY FOR A COMPANY THAT CAN PROVIDE SERVICE TO CUSTOMERS. It ALL started at the beginning of the year 2020. We had our aircons installed in 2018, but when the first services was due, the installation company was too busy to make an appointment for the servicing of them. We struggled to get someone to come and service them. Finally, we got hold of a company (which were new at that time), and they serviced our systems. Then, at the beginning of 2020, one of the units was not cooling anymore. We then had to get someone else to come and check the system. They found that the aircon was leaking gas. The company we got, then sealed the leak, and regassed the system. Out of our experience, this was wrong and actually incomplete. We were trained that when a system leaked it’s gas, you seal the leak, vacuum the system, AND ONLY THEN, do you charge the system. We could have done ALL of this ourselves, but because we decided to get out of the trade 10 years ago, we did not have the required tools. Due to all the struggling to get the correct support, and then receiving poor service, we got a “silent partner”, got the funds required, bought all the required tools, or actually only most of it (and this is the reason we cannot do refrigerator repairs yet).  The “silent partner” is coming back from her contract in America, and then, depending on how business went in 2020 and 2021, she will open an ATOMIC branch in the Freestate, and if all goes according to plan, we will occupy the whole of South Africa by the end of 2029. Yes, you did read correctly, we were in the AIRCON and REFRIGERATION trade up to 2011. The one co-owner, has about one year’s worth of hands-on experience, while the senior technician, has about 8 years hands-on experience.  Therefore, when a customer requests a quote for a new unit, he won’t be quoted by a salesman, but by a technician with hands-on experience.
